Teacher Wellness Visit 🍎
Pets on Wheels volunteers and their certified therapy pets returned to the classroom — this time, just for the teachers.
During this special Teacher Wellness Visit at Seventh District Elementary School, educators and staff were invited to take a well-deserved break and focus on their own well-being. In the midst of busy schedules, lesson planning, and the daily demands of supporting students, the visit provided a calm and welcoming space to pause, connect, and recharge.
Staff members had the opportunity to spend time with the therapy pets, enjoying quiet moments of comfort, laughter, and stress relief. The presence of these gentle, friendly animals created an atmosphere of relaxation and appreciation — something every educator deserves.
These visits are a meaningful reminder of the importance of supporting those who give so much of themselves every day in the classroom. Even a short interaction can lift spirits and help restore energy for the work ahead.
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Pets on Wheels volunteer teams — Darlene with Archie, Barbara with Skye, Wendy with Flash, and Joyce with Martina — for sharing their time and bringing so many smiles to the staff!
